Ana Lydia (Pellot) Garvin Obituary

Ana Lydia (Pellot) Garvin, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a long illness.

Ana Lydia was born on June 12, 1940, in Isabela, Puerto Rico, to the late Antonia Pellot and Carlos Pellot. She was raised with strong values of resilience, compassion, and dedication—qualities that would define her life and legacy.

A proud and accomplished businesswoman, Ana Lydia was the owner of Professional Touch Cleaners, successfully operating six dry-cleaning establishments. She was admired for her intelligence, work ethic, and commitment to excellence. Beyond her professional achievements, she was known for her warm and friendly nature, her infectious smile, and her unwavering willingness to help others in need.

Ana Lydia made the meaningful decision to relocate from the Bronx to Ossining, New York, in order to provide a better life and greater opportunities for her children. Her strength, sacrifice, and devotion to her family remain a lasting testament to her character.

On June 11, 1969, she married the love of her life, Robert Garvin, with whom she shared many years of partnership and commitment.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Garvin; her eldest son, Joseph Falu Jr.; and her son, Ronald Garvin.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Lizzette Garvin; her daughter-in-law, Demetria Falu; her loving grandchildren: Marva Henry (Jonathon), RaNissa Anderson, Maya, MeLisa, Janae, Zeyda, Joseph T. Falu, Micheal Cole, Taty’ana Gray, Lyla Garvin, Aleyah Boarders, and Nicolas McCormick; six great-grandchildren; and her cherished honorary grandchildren: Karovy Mogrovejo, Natalia Rios, and Jayda Perry. She also leaves behind a host of relatives and dear friends.

The family extends a special and heartfelt thank you to her dedicated caretakers, Jenny Quiroz, Samantha Vazquez, Briana Quiroz, Gianna Batista, Michael Fields, and Kristopher Gaffney, for the compassion, care, and love they provided during her time of need.

Ana Lydia will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a pillar of strength to all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, perseverance, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is now at rest, reunited in peace, and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
