You were my first and dearest friend when we were so young on Maple Ave. I will never forget our first meeting. I was playing inside a discarded and empty refrigerator delivery box in front of my house. Your dad was teaching you how to ride a “two wheeler”. He couldn’t keep up as you ran off the street onto the sidewalk and crashed into the box I was playing in I was shocked by the collision, when I saw you with that large smile you said , “ hi , my name is Steve”. Bright smiling person so friendly and gentle. We became instant friends . I used to go up to your house when we were in elementary school and listen to you okay the accordion. You didn’t even need to read the music, your ear was so great. You were “the Natural”. Such great music , such a gentle genius. You always loved to come over on Sundays and we’d watch Mickey , old number 7 , in that days double header and you always loved my moms meatballs and spaghetti which we ate in front of the TV watching the game. You always told me that story later in life.
As we hit older and life took us in different directions we sent each other birthday wishes . You were older, ha, by about 6 weeks. Sept 4th to my Oct 19 . 1949. Last time , to show how caring and loving person you were, you missed the Oct 19. You sent belated birthday wishes , you said you were sorry, you didn’t forget . I will always love you as a brother, so sweet , kind and gentle.
Rest in Peace and play your great music for all the angels and saints and Rose and. Barney with you in heaven . I will never forget you 😊

Jimmy, I just read this the other day and it brought me so much joy. Thank you for sharing your story of my dad and your friendship. He always spoke so highly of you and I loved hearing about him coming to your house for your moms spaghetti and meatballs. He cared for you and loved you so dearly.

Dear Lena, Kristina, and Marcos,

I remember how gentle and kind Steve was with little children. He really enjoyed recording songs with the girls and showing Alex how to play piano. May God comfort you in this time of transition. My love and prayers are with you and all the family. God bless you.

Stephen was the kindest, sweetest boy. We went all through school together and spent many days and nights on the Sea Gate beaches. I have such fond memories of him. We recently reconnected on Facebook and he proudly told me of how much he loved his wife and children.
His smiling face and kind soul will be missed.

Dear Amy, there are no words to comfort you and your family in a time of such sorrow. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your brother, Steve. Here is a quote from Dr. Brian Weiss "Unconditional love doesn't ask for anything in return. It never creates dependency or debt. It simply exists as a pure and absolute energy, promising that all loved ones will be entwined and embraced throughout eternity.' May your brother Rest in Peace. 💔
