Sr. Ellen Marie Keane, RSHM, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, August 5, 2018.

Born in New York City, NY, on June 7, 1935 to Michael and Eileen Minahan Keane, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Tarrytown, NY in 1953.

Sr. Ellen Marie taught at St. Bridget’s School, Richmond, VA, and was Mistress of Novices for the RSHM Eastern American Province. For more than 40 years, she taught philosophy at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY.

She is survived by her sister, Anne Marie Wagner, and her brother, Robert Keane, numerous nieces and nephews, and by the members of her religious community.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Wake Sunday, August 12, 4:00 - 7:30 p.m., Vigil Service 7:30 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, August 13, 10:30 a.m.. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
