Sol Stein Obituary

Sol Stein, writer and author passed away peacefully in his Tarrytown home on September 19, 2019 at the age of 92. His family was at his side.

Born in Chicago, IL on October 13, 1926, he was the son of Louis and Zelda Zam Stein. Sol served proudly in the United States Army during World War II.

Surviving are his wife Edith T. Shapiro and his children Kevin, Jeffrey, Leland, Andrew, David, Elizabeth and Robin, his step-son as well as his grandchildren.

Private services with Military Honors will take place at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
