Margaret (Selkirk) McKenna

Margaret McKenna, a longtime resident of Tarrytown died January 4, 2020 at the age of 87. Born in Coatbridge, Scotland on January 19, 1933, she was the daughter of Thomas Selkirk and Elizabeth Aitken Dixon. She married Joseph McKenna and the couple came to the United States in 1957. They had lived in the Bronx and came to Tarrytown in 1968 where they raised their family.

Margaret was well known by many having worked in Howland, Steinbach and finally in Pay Half. She always walked to work along Broadway.

He husband Joseph died in 1989 and sadly her daughter Margaret Mary Bambara just died in December.

Surviving are her loving son Joseph and his wife Denise T. Fagan and her cherished grandchildren Peter Bambara, Jr., Brandon Bambara, Joseph Craig McKenna and Scot Matthew McKenna as well as her son-in-law Peter Bambara.   

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Friday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception Church followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
