Margaret R. (Mercaldi) Bartos

Margaret R. Bartos, a longtime resident of Tarrytown died October 22, 2018 at the age of 89. Born in New York City on September 13, 1929, she was the daughter of Sigismundo and Anna Crodelli Mercaldi.

Margaret was a parishioner of Transfiguration Church where she helped in various capacities and was a member of the Transfiguration Seniors. She was also a member of the Tarrytown Seniors and had served as their Secretary.

She is survived by her children Marianna ‘Cookie’ (David) Schwab and her son Michael and his wife Mary Delaney. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah and Tyler Schwab and her sister Viola Little. She was predeceased by her husbands Joseph Dinielli and Michael J. Bartos, Sr. as well as her siblings Jean Pretino, Frances Harris, John Mercaldi and Philip Mercaldi.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 at Transfiguration Church with interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
