John F. Jadus, a lifelong resident of North Tarrytown died on June 2, 2019 which was his 96th birthday. Born in North Tarrytown on June 2, 1923, he was the son of Stanley and Anna Dziadosz.
John was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army Air Force. After his service, John had a long career with Dun & Bradstreet in New York City.
On June 25, 1966, he married Ermelinda (Linda) Ugalde in Holy Cross Church. John was a pillar of Holy Cross Church where he served as a trustee and lector. He also sang in the choir. He was a former president of the Holy Name Society. He also oversaw the operations of the church, making sure everything was taken care of both inside and outside of his beloved church.
John was also a member of the VFW Post 1939.
John is survived by his loving wife Linda, his beloved daughter Anna (Nicholas) Scazafave of Sleepy Hollow and his dear grandchildren Alena and Nicholas John Scazafave. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his beloved son Gregory in 2002 and his brother Theodore Dziadosz and sister Florence Rihorkowicz.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM. His Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception Church with interment and Military Honors to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
