James Blanco, a longtime resident of Tarrytown died May 22, 2018 at the age of 84. James was born in Mount Kisco on November 11, 1933. When he was a young child, his parents Gerardo and Maria Queiro Blanco returned to Spain with their children. James returned to the United States when he was a teenager. He went on to graduate from college. He had a long career as a Civil Engineer with the City of White Plains.
He married Anna Lopane in Immaculate Conception Church in North Tarrytown. She predeceased him in 1982.
James enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved Sunday dinners. He will be missed by his loving daughters Maria (Michael) Praino, Christina (William) Ulacco, Anita (Kyle)McGovern and Elena Blanco as well as his 10 cherished grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister Maria Martinez as well as his nieces and nephews.
