Gloria L. (Deleventhal) Donovan

Gloria Donovan:

Born  Gloria Louise Delventhal July 13, 1925 in Bronx, NY Graduated from Walton High School in June 1941. She joined the Motor Corp of the Red Cross and delivered blood plasma to the blood banks during World War II. Mom became a secretary for CBS, PWG in New York City, the Englewood New Jersey Hospital, and The Osborn Home in Rye, NY for 23 years before retiring.   She married John Carlson in 1953 and they lived in Mamaroneck NY for 28 years. In Mamaroneck she was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and the Women's Club.

In 1981 Gloria found the love of her life and in September of 1982, Gloria married James Donovan of Tarrytown, NY. Together they traveled the world. They lived in Rye Brook, NY for 11 years before moving to Kure Beach, North Carolina.

Sadly her husband James Donovan passed away the day after her funeral. She is survived by her three children, Chris Carlson, Karen Carlson Siewert, Nancy Carlson, James Donovan, Laurie Donvan Portz, David Donovan & Jack Donovan and her grandchildren Brent, Greg, Jacqueline, Kyle, Luke, Jack, Jimmy, Liam, Casey, Erik, Michael, Kristianne and Ryan.
