Barbara (Gross) Janos

Barbara Janos, beloved mother and grandmother died peacefully at home January 4, 2013, in Tarrytown, New York.

She was born on October 5, 1931 to Mae (Legeman) and Harold Gross. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Paul John Janos, Sr.  as well as her beloved sisters and brother Edith Kipp, Harriet Del Cantaro and Albert Gross

Barbara was the loving mother of her two sons Paul John Janos, Jr of Tarrytown, NY and David Thomas Janos of Lake Worth, FL. She was also a loving grandmother to Luke, Valerie, Mariah and Kristin.

Barbara was a resident of Tarrytown, Somers, NY and Stuart, FL.  She graduated from Washington Irvington High School where she was Drum Majorette. After high school she was employed by General Precision Corp. and later worked as a secretary at Christ Church in Tarrytown. She was an ardent member of the Tarrytown Seniors and eagerly anticipated the weekly meetings.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013, 2-4 and 7-9 at Coffey Funeral Home. Service will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Phelps Hospice, 701 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591
