Alexander E. Kalinowski

Alexander E. Kalinowski of Peekskill died September 13, 2019 at the age of 90. Born in Yonkers on November 5, 1928, he was the son of Walter and Barbara Kopek Kalinowski.

He served proudly in the United States Army from 1950-1952 and he went on to have a long career with the NYC Transit Authority.

In retirement, Alexander had lived in Ocean City, MD and Annapolis, MD. Later in life he came back to the area living in Montrose, Croton and finally in Peekskill.

He was married to Dorothy Dickenson who predeceased him. He is survived by his son Thomas (Lina) of Peekskill, his grandson Zachary and his great grandchildren Braden and Emma. In addition to Dorothy, he was predeceased by an infant son Walter, his daughter Jean and his granddaughter Alison.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4PM to 8PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 10:30 at Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown with interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery in Peekskill.
