Carol A. Cancro, a longtime resident of the Greenburgh area of White Plains died March 12, 2024 at the age of 84. Born in Tarrytown on February 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Edward and Hannah (Deery) Burke. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory High School.
Shortly after her marriage to James Cancro, the couple settled in Greenburgh where they raised their family.
Carol is survived by her loving children James (Lisa) Cancro, Dawn M. Cancro (Robert Hanaburgh) and Holly Cancro; her grandchildren James See, William See, James Cancro, Jr., Andrew Cancro, Thomas Cancro, Melissa Quinones and Emilio Quinones and her great granddaughter Isabella Quinones. Also surviving are her sister Theresa Tompkins, her brother Edward Burke and her son-in-law Waldo Quinones. Her husband James died in 1994 and she was also predeceased by her daughter Charlotte Quinones, her granddaughter Bethany Quinones and her sister Helen Avery.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday March 14 from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday March 15 at Holy Name of Jesus Church Valhalla at 11:00 with interment to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
