Antonio Armesto, of Tarrytown, died on January 13, 2009. He was 85.
Mr. Armesto was born on December 25, 1924 to Secundino and Rosa Lago Armesto in Brooklyn. He grew up in Villaffanca del Bierzo, Spain and moved back to the U.S. in 1956. He was self employed as a cabinet maker and owned Armesto Millwork in Yonkers. He was a member of the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters.
He was a devoted husband to Rosalia Garcia Armesto of Tarrytown. He was also a loving father to Rosa (David) Venditti of Briarcliff Manor and Yvette (Neil) Potter of Annandale, NJ. He was a loving Grandfather to Lauren, Julia, and Katherine Venditti and Brittany and Ryan Potter.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday at COFFEY FUNERAL HOME in Tarrytown. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 AM at Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown. His entombment will be followed at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Church St. Station, PO Box 780, New York, NY 10008.
