James A. Connelly of Tarrytown died February 24, 2010 at the age of 87. Born June 17, 1922, he was the son of James L. and Helen McHale Connelly. James served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He then went on to have a long career with Nationwide Insurance.

James had been married to Josephine Casey for 51 years when she died July 24, 2005.

He is survived by his children Mark of Yorktown, Mary Hartnett of Thornwood, Kevin of Tarrytown, Brian of Harris, NY, Jane Saunders of Thornwood and Nancy Connelly of Scarsdale. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, James was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Cooper.

Visitation will be at COFFEYFUNERAL HOME on Sunday from 1-4 PM ONLY. His Funeral Mass will be Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Sleepy Hollow at 9:00 AM.
