Yon K. "Kip" Davis

Yon K. Davis, affectionately known as “Kip” went into eternal rest on Saturday, September 26, 2015. The son of James Kenneth Davis and Shirley Evans, was born in White Plains, NY on February 8, 1963. Yon was a graduate of Valhalla High School and received a Baccalaureate Degree in Political Science from Stony Brook University.

From 1986 to 1993, Yon worked for Westchester County Behavioral Center in Valhalla, NY as a Psychiatric Aide. From 1993 to 1996 he worked at Woodfield Cottage in Valhalla, NY as a Youth Detention Worker and from 1996 to 2011 he worked for M&B Auto Leasing, Inc. as an Operations Manager.

Yon is survived by his mother, Shirley R. Davis, Tarrytown NY; two sisters: Karen Williams, White Plains, NY; Laurie Davis-Ford (Vernal), Sleepy Hollow, NY; one son Yonell Davis, Sleepy Hollow, NY; 5 nieces: Ayanna Stewart (Lincoln), Bronx NY; Shanina Dorns-Wheeler (Yusef), Spring Valley, NY; Tammy & Cheyenne Davis, West Paterson, NJ; Imani Ford, Sleepy Hollow, NY; 2 nephews: Troy Davis, Patterson NJ; Vernal Kenneth Ford, Sleepy Hollow, NY; 4 great nephews: Mason Wheeler, Malcolm Stewart, Langston Stewart, Dean Stewart; 2 great nieces: Wisdom Davis and Nina Wheeler; several other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his older brother, Gary K. Davis and father, James K. Davis.
