Stephen Joseph Carre of Tarrytown and formerly of Eastchester, NY, left us peacefully on January 9, 2017.  Steve was the most loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He will be remembered forever for his incredible kindness.

Born on June 3, 1947 in New York City, Steve was the son of Charles J. and Mary A. Amoruso Carre.  Steve was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, Fairfield University and St. John’s University.  On July 10, 1971, Steve married Diane Loscalzo in Whitestone, NY.

Steve proudly served the United States for 30 years and retired from the United States Army as a Colonel.  Steve worked as an engineer with IBM for 30 years.  Steve was a member of the Military Officers Association of America, a founding member of the Eastchester Youth Soccer Organization, and a cyclist with the Westchester Cycle Club.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diane, as well as his children Steve and Christine, his daughter-in-law Meredith Carre, son-in-law Carlo Punzalan, mother-in-law Camille Loscalzo, sister-in-law Linda Loscalzo, brother and sister-in-law Charles and Phyllis Carre, and sister and brother-in-law Terry and Valentin Magro.  Steve was an extremely proud and loving grandfather to Stephen, Lily, Ryan, Cullen, Kai and Luca.
