Sr. Margaret Mary Dunleavy, RSHM, (87) died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, February 19, 2017.

Born Mary Teresa Dunleavy in New York City to John and Margaret Lavin Dunleavy, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Tarrytown, NY in 1952.

Sr. Margaret Mary was a member of the support staff at Marymount in Tarrytown, NY, at Marymount in Arlington, VA; at St. Catharine of Alexandria, Brooklyn, NY; and at Marymount Convent in Tarrytown. After retiring from active ministry, she remained at Marymount Convent where she was living at the time of her death.

She is survived by nephews and nieces and by the members of her religious community.

February 23, 4:00 - 7:30 pm, Vigil Service 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, February 24, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
