Sr. Elizabeth Tuohy, RSHM, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, January 16, 2018.

Born Hannah Tuohy in Co. Clare, Ireland, on April 26, 1930, to Joseph and Mary Ann Tuohy, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1950.

Sr. Elizabeth was assistant to the novice directress at St. Joseph’s Novitiate in Tarrytown. She taught at Mother Butler Memorial High School, Bronx, NY; at Marymount Secondary School, Tarrytown, NY; at Marymount School, Santa Barbara, CA; and in England at Marymount International School, Kingston, Surrey. She was living at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, at the time of her death.

She is survived by sisters in Ireland and by the members of her religious community.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Wake Monday, January 22, 4:00 - 7:30 p.m., Vigil Service 7:30 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, January 23, 10:30 a.m. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
