Mother Henri, as she was known when she was Principal of the Marymount School in Rome where I was a student in the early 1960s. She has maintained a special place in my heart throughout these years, due to her support during my time there. I was at the time the only African-American student, and entered Marymount in my second year of high school. She was so helpful in planning my curriculum so I could meet the graduation requirements, and especially so I would become fluent in Italian, as well as French. She was always available to me after classes and during study hall, and is a life long reminder of my experience. Thank you so much for all you did for me, Mother Henri. Respectfully, Victoria Thornton MD, MBA, FACEP
