Sr. Eamonn Harpur, RSHM, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Born Maureen Harpur on October 13, 1925, in Co. Wexford, Ireland, to Edward and Anastasia Culleton Harpur, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Tarrytown, NY, on September 30, 1947.

Sr. Eamonn’s many years of ministry were centered in Tarrytown. For more than 35 years, she worked with the students at Marymount College, first in Tea House and then in the Campus Store. Then, as a member of the Marymount Convent staff, she served the older sisters living there.

She was living at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, at the time of her death.

She is survived by her sister, Sr. Anne Harpur, SJG, and brother, John Harpur, many nieces and nephews and by the members of her religious community.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Wake Tuesday, May 16, 4:00 - 7:30 pm, Vigil Service 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, May 17, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
