Sr. Anne Marie Clancy, RSHM

Sr. Anne Marie (Sr. Coeur de Marie ) Clancy, RSHM, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, April 12, 2017.

Born in Co. Limerick, Ireland, on April 3, 1941, to Joseph and Mary Lee Clancy. she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Tarrytown, NY in 1959.

Sr. Anne Marie taught at St. Mary School, Long Island City, NY; and Immaculate Conception School, Bronx, NY, where she was also principal. She taught and was headmistress at Marymount International School, Paris, France 

Sr. Anne Marie was coordinator of the religious education programs at Our Lady of Victory and St.Rita parishes and teacher at St. Nicholas, St. Catharine of Alexandria, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Schools, all in Brooklyn, NY. She was living at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, at the time of her death.

She is survived by family in Ireland and Canada, and by the members of her religious community.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Wake Tuesday, April 18, 4:00 - 7:30 pm, Vigil Service 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday April 19, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
