Ruby Ernestine 'Tina' Miele

Ruby Ernestine “Tina” Miele formerly of Elmsford, NY passed peacefully at HPH hospice of New Port Richey Florida on September 15,2016 at the age of 91 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Edison, Ga on March 15, 1925, she was the daughter of Henry and Mamie Stamps and she was the wife of the late Frank Miele. She grew up on a farm in Georgia with 6 brothers and sisters before marrying and moving to N.Y.  She operated the Mother Goose Sitter Service, INC out of her home as well as raising her 3 children. Mother Goose as she was known to family and friends appeared on the game shows To Tell the Truth and What’s My Line.

     She retired in 1980 and moved to her present home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was an active member of the Veterans Village security patrol in NPR holding many positions over the years. She was an active member of Holiday Christian Church and member of her church choir. She loved singing and old gospel music. Her love and faith in her heavenly father will be the greatest legacy she leaves her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Gori of Dunedin FL, Connie Minardi of Palm Harbor, FL, granddaughters Darlene Benson Sandy Hook, CT, Christine Minardi Rode (Chris) of McKinney, TX, grandson Michael Minardi (Allison) Bradenton, FL, great grandchildren  Bryanna and Bryce Benson , Avery Rode, and Jacob Minardi. She was predeceased by husband Frank Miele and son Frankie Miele Jr.
