Rose (Gallello) Martignetti

Rose Martignetti formerly of Tarrytown died October 18, 2016 at the age of 96. Born in the Bronx on April 3, 1920, she was the daughter of Francesco and Francesca Gallello.

On April 9, 1944, she married Albert A. Martignetti in St. Raymond’s Church Bronx, NY. The family lived in the Bronx and Yonkers and later Rose and Albert moved to Tarrytown.

Rose had been a member of the Tarrytown Seniors, the Nutrition Program at Neighborhood House and St. Zita’s Villa in Monsey, NY.

She is survived by her sons Charles (Angela) of Fort Pierce, FL and Stephen (Shirley) of New City. Also surviving are her grandchildren Charles A. (Athena), Julie Anne (Paul) Asfendis and Stephanie A. Martignetti as well as her great grandchildren Madison and Brycen Martignetti and Elena and Autumn Asfendis and her sisters Gloria Cavalieri and Alba Liontonia. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 2005 and her sisters Marie Vasi, Ella DeCisolo and Yolanda Mazzella.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4PM to 8PM at Coffey Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Zita’s Villa 50 Saddle River RD Monsey, NY 10952 or John Raso Hospice 415 Buena Vista Road New City, NY 10956 would be appreciated.
