Rocco Germani

Rocco Germani, a longtime Tarrytown resident died at Calvary Hospital on November 6, 2016 one day before his 96th birthday.

Born in Italy on November 7, 1920, he was the son of Bernardo and Maria Coccoli Germani. Rocco served proudly in the US Army from 1942 to 1946. He had a long career in the pharmaceutical industry having first worked for Westchester Wholesale Drugs, then Blinn-Westchester and ended his career with Blinn Pharmaceuticals in Brooklyn. He had been a General Foreman with the company.

On January 25, 1958, he married Antoinette Ippolito in Yonkers. She predeceased him April 14, 2015.

Rocco is survived by his sister Gina Filancia of Yonkers, his sister-in-law Angelina Hoyt of Tarrytown and many nieces, nephews and great nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his niece Maria Taylor of CT and Russell Ippolito of Tarrytown.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. His Funeral Mass will follow at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Calvary Hospital www.calvaryhospital.org would be appreciated.
