Phyllis M. (Fernandes) Scirghio

Phyllis M. Scirghio of Tarrytown and formerly of New Rochelle died unexpectedly on March 7, 2017 at the age of 76. Born in New Rochelle on May 17, 1940 she was the daughter of Albino and Ann dePierro Fernandes.

Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband Vincent Scirghio in 1987.  Phyllis is survived by her loving children Anthony of New Rochelle and Dina (Domenic) Morabito of Tarrytown. She is also survived by her grandchildren Domenic, Sofia and Isabella Morabito whom she adored and loved more than anything else in this world. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren.  Also surviving are her sisters Terrie (Tony) Pandolfino of New Rochelle and Debbie (Sal) Cifone of New Jersey.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception Church in Irvington with entombment to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the

Wounded Warrior Project.
