Peter N. Turtenwald

Peter N. Turtenwald, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow died February 2, 2018 at the age of 94. Born in Tarrytown on October 13, 1923, he was the son of Frank and Anna Chrupka Turtenwald.

Peter served proudly in the United States Army and went on to have a long career at General Motors where he worked in various capacities. He had been a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and he was a member of UAW Local 664.

Peter was married to Helen A. (Jucnewitz) who predeceased him on November 11, 1977. He is survived by his loving daughter Karen (John) Trout of Neptune City, NJ, 2 grandsons and a great granddaughter. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Steve and his sister Anna.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10AM to 12 Noon at Coffey Funeral Home where services will begin at 12:00. Interment will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
