Maureen (Higle) Brown

Maureen (Higle) Brown 73 of Ormond Beach, Florida formerly of Mohegan Lake, New York passed away peacefully on March 12th. Affectionately known as "Queenie", Maureen is survived by her husband of 53 years Jules. She is also survived by her four children: Robert, Kelly (Joe Howard), Darlene, and Kevin (Anna). Maureen was a loving grandmother and had six grandchildren: Joey, Bobby, Corey, and Danny Howard, Isabella and Kevin Brown. Maureen is also survived by her brother George Higle and was predeceased by her sister Lorraine O'Sullivan. Maureen was a parishioner of Saint Brendan's and was a devout Catholic. Maureen was born March 15, 1942 in Tarrytown, New York where she met her husband Jules. They were married on May 26, 1962. Maureen worked for many years in different occupations but she was most proud of owning her own travel agency. She liked to travel and was able to see many parts of the world. Maureen had many friends and was the life of the party! She made a lasting impression on everyone she met. 

Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, Unheard, but always near. Still loved, Still missed and very dear.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday March 18th at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown. Her Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Saturday at Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown. Interment will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
