Marion Monachelli

Marion Monachelli, a lifelong resident of New York City died February 7, 2018 at the age of 87. Marion was born in New York City on December 23, 1930 and she was the daughter of Harry and Antoinette Soldano Cinelli.

She had lived in the Chelsea section for over 35 years. She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and Hunter College. She went on to have a career at the American Dairy Council and most recently the American Dairy Association in New York.

She was married to Albert Monachelli for 28 years. He predeceased her in 1992. Marion is survived by her son Andrew (Amy) Monachelli of Tarrytown, her granddaughters Lauren and Gabby and her son-in-law Randy Stern. Marion was predeceased by her daughter Annette and her brother Hercules (Herk) Cinelli.

 Family was always of great importance to her and her two granddaughters will always be in her heart. Education was also something she believed in strongly so, therefore in lieu of flowers please consider a donation on “Grandma Marion’s behalf to Lauren and Gabby’s college fund.
