Manuel J. De Sousa

Manuel J. De Sousa of Ossining died March 22, 2017 at the age of 69. Manuel was born on January 8, 1948 in Gondomar, Portugal and was the son of Germano Correia de Sousa and Ana Martins de Oliveira de Sousa. On April 15, 1973, he married Maria Fatima Teixeira in Valongo, Portugal. In 1977, the couple came to the United States and settled in Tarrytown. They later moved to Ossining.

Manuel worked for General Motors and was a member of the UAW Local 664. He attended St. Teresa of Avila Church and was a member of the Portuguese American Club in Tarrytown.

He is survived by his loving wife Fatima and his loving children Patricia Gonzalez and Filipe De Sousa as well as his grandchildren Joel Gonzalez and Nina Gonzalez. Also surviving are a brother and sister in Portugal.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 9:00
