Loretta T. (Zielenski) Sans

Loretta T. Sans, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died peacefully on April 11, 2018 at the age of 99.Born in Queens, NY on January 20, 1919, she was the daughter of Leon and Estelle Zielenski.

Having graduated from High School and Nursing School, she began her career as a Psychiatric Nurse and later became a private duty nurse. She left nursing after her children were born and dedicated her time to raising her family. She was married to Salvatore Sans who predeceased her in 1999. She and her husband were longtime members of the New York Athletic Club.

Loretta is survived by her loving sons Kenneth (Mary Anne) of Briarcliff Manor and Gregory (Valerie) of Floral Park, NY and her son-in-law Sam charendoff of TX. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Karen Estelle Charendoff as well as her brothers Arthur and Leonard.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4PM to 8PH. Her Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 11:00 at the Queen of Peace Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with interment to follow.
