Lillian (Vidal) Martins

Lillian Martins, a longtime Tarrytown resident died June 22, 2015 at the age of 84. Born in Costa do Valado, Aveiro, Portugal on June 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Carlos and Albina Martins Vidal.

Lillian was a secretary for the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, having worked in the Superintendents’ Office for 22 years.

The most important thing in Lillian’s life was her family and spending time with them in Surfside Beach, SC brought her great joy.

She is survived by her loving children Elaine (Ed) Vachovetz of Danbury, CT; Laura (Ken) Pullicino of Middlebury, CT and Charles (Debby) of East Irvington; her seven grandchildren and one great grandson. She is also survived by he sister Irene (Tony) Vidal of Tarrytown and her brother-in-law Albert (Charlotte) Martins of Briarcliff as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  She was predeceased by Jose, her husband of 57 years and her granddaughter Ashley Pullicino.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Friday at 10:00 at Transfiguration Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Phelps Hospice 701 North Broadway Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591 would be appreciated.
