Leda V. (DiFelice) Galella

Leda V. Galella, a longtime Sleepy Hollow resident died September 12, 2015 at the age of 92. Born in Casteldiere, Italy on December 3, 1922, she was the daughter of Carmine and Anna Dibenedetto DiFelice. She came to the United States as a young girl. On September 21, 1947, she married Armando ‘Chick’ Galella in Immaculate Conception Church in North Tarrytown.

Leda was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of St. Ann’s Sodality and the Sleepy Hollow Seniors.  She will be remembered for her devotion  to her family.

She is survived by Armando, her loving husband of 67 years as well as her sons Armando and his wife Dr. Susan Park of Ft. Meyers, FL and Michael and his wife Donna Baer of Cortlandt Manor. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andrea Lattanzio, Melissa Volpe and Bryce Galella and his great grandchildren A.J. Volpe, Mia Volpe, Ellis Rose Lattanzio and Luke Lattanzio. Also surviving is her brother Mario (Elinor) DiFelice and Brenda Galella.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Monday (today) from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
