Kathleen S. (Taxter) Moon

Kathleen S. Moon, a lifelong Tarrytown resident died suddenly on November 8, 2016 at the age of 67. Born in Tarrytown on August 15, 1949, she was the daughter of Thomas F. and Anne Micek Taxter. She was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School.

Cathy was a life member of Fire Patrol Co#1 of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department. She was also a member of the WCVFA.

On April 9, 1987 she married Robert Moon. She was an avid reader and was a great fan of the NY Yankees. She will be remembered as a woman who loved her home and family; especially her grandchildren.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband Bob, her daughter Melissa Reif and her grandchildren Savanna Guziczek, Samara Hardy and Samantha, Kyle and Brayden Reif. She is also survived by her sisters Bonnie Taxter, Patricia Taxter and Linda Slavik as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Tanya Guziczek.   

Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corps would be appreciated.
