Joseph Miele

Joseph Miele of Tarrytown and formerly the Bronx died September 19, 2016 at the age of 94. He had also resided in Palm Coast, FL and Cape Cod, MA.  Joseph was born in Brooklyn on September 14, 1922, the son of Frank and Mary Menna Miele.
Joseph served proudly in the US Army from 1943 to 1945. He was very well known in the Throggs Neck area of the Bronx where he operated Joe’s Quality Meats for many years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7845 in Palm Coast, FL and later became a 4th Degree Knight as a member of the Bishop Patrick Barry Assembly also in Palm Coast.     
Joseph was predeceased by his first wife Mildred (Grecco) Miele. He is survived by his wife Ann (Borstelmann) as well as his children Carole (Bob) Schulze, Marie Miele, Joseph J. (Carol) Miele, Virginia Miele (Bruce Carlino) and Michael (Kara) Miele. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as his sister Lillian Grecco and his brother Phillip Miele.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be at Transfiguration Church on Friday at 10:30 AM.
