Jenny & Howard Kelly

Jenny Kelly, 79, passed away in Cape Coral Fla. March 18, 2012.

Born March 25, 1932, in Tarrytown, N.Y. to Giovanni and Maria Pluchino.  Jenny lived in Tarrytown where she attended Tarrytown schools, graduating from Washington Irving High School in 1950. She met her future husband, Howard Kelly, during their high school years.  Jenny worked in administration in various businesses including Double Day Book Company, Nagle Real Estate, the Tarrytown School District and IBM. Jenny and Howard retired to North Fort Myers Florida in 1995.

Howard Kelly, 84, passed away in Cape Coral Fla. April 26, 2017.

Born March 6, 1933 in Amsterdam, NY to Pete and Isabel Kelly. Howard moved to Tarrytown, NY at a young age, graduating from Washington Irving High School in 1951 and then attending the University of Georgia on a football scholarship, as a Running Back for the Georgia Bulldogs. Howard served his country in the U.S. Navy 1955-56. He was employed by the Tarrytown School District where he worked as a Phys. Ed. Teacher and Football Coach for 25 years.

Survivors of Jenny and Howard include their children:  Karen VanDusen (Rick) of Cape Coral, FL and Lori Byrnes of Poughkeepsie, NY (Drew).  Grandchildren:  Robert Mengert (Amy, AJ, Sarah)  of Parker,  Colorodo, Lauren Mengert of Wood Ridge, New Jersey, Kelly Patrick Byrnes of Troy, NY and Lindsay Byrnes of Tarrytown, NY. Niece:  Kim Brophy (Dan, John, Jackie) of Garrison, NY.

Services for Jenny and Howard will be held on Friday, May 12 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Coffey Funeral Home, 91 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 13 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. The procession to the cemetery will begin at Coffey Funeral Home at 10:30 am.
