I only met Gladys once, probably 30 years ago. I was a friend of Jon’s from college, visiting him one gray winter. Only the once, but I feIt that I knew her. I really did sense her presence in Jon. The way you catch a glimpse of light from the interior of a house through a window. Jon talked about his mother with so much love and respect and admiration. He once showed me a book his mother had read to him when he was small. I could tell it was a talisman of such good memories. I remember hoping that my children would think of me like that.

All my condolences to you and your family Jon at this difficult time. I know we're not close, but I retain warm memories from the past, and, as we've now been through experiences with similar circumstances, I just want to say that if you ever feel like reaching out, please feel free to be in touch. Take care, Bing

Jon and David, Deepest Sympathies on the passing of your mother. I wish I could be there for her services, but I can’t travel cross country right now. Jon was so kind to my family when I lost both my parents last year. My heart will be with your family as you mark this sad milestone.
With love,
Jennifer
