David Lingardo, a lifelong resident of North Tarrytown died March 21, 2018 at the age of 77. Born in North Tarrytown on May 12, 1940, he was the son of Giuseppe and Mary Chipetta Lingardo.
On November 17, 1961, he married Mary Katherine ‘Kay’ Brideau in St. Teresa’s Church in North Tarrytown.
David had been a Police Officer in Eastchester for 20 years. After his retirement he went to work for Robert Martin Company, later Mack Calli. He and his wife retired to Port Charlotte, Florida and recently moved back to be near their family.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Elmo Council #318 where he was a 4th Degree Knight. He was also a member of the Eastchester PBA and he was a founding member of the North Tarrytown Girls Softball League.
David is survived by Kay, his wife of 56 years as well as his children David (Bernadette), Laura Gail Lingardo, Frankie Lingardo and Lois Lingardo. He is also survived by his grandchildren Amanda Cavalieri, Gregory Cavalieri, Alyssa Lingardo, Nicholas Lingardo, Brent Lingardo and Craig Lingardo; as well as his brothers Joseph and Basil and his sister Marie Cramer and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Rocco, John, Frank and Santo as well as his sisters Teresa Mraz and Marion Cestone.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 11:00 at St. Teresa of Avila followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
