Charles H. Riley

Charles H. Riley of Tarrytown died May 30, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86.

Mr. Riley was born June 18, 1928 in Tarrytown to Charles and Helen Riley. He was educated in the Tarrytown Public Schools. On August 3, 1952, he married Joan Lowell (the Love of his Life) in Dillon, SC. She predeceased him. He served 2 tours in the United States Army, one in Japan and again in Korea.

Charles will be remembered as a loving father and “One Tough Cookie”.

He is survived by two sons Gavin (Paula) and Daniel (Candy) both of Tarrytown and three grandsons Matthew Phillips, Lee Morton and Charles H. Riley. In addition to his wife Helen, he was predeceased by his son Charles and his sister Helene Cestone.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 PM to 8PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Phelps Hospice 701 N. Broadway Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591would be appreciated. They are an outstanding group of people!
