Charles H. Haggerty

Charles H. Haggerty, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow died October 3, 2016 at the age of 96. Charles was born on August 27, 1920 in North Tarrytown and was the son of Charles and Catherine Martin Haggerty.

Charles served proudly in the United States Army during WWII. After the war, he came home and worked for General Motors for many years until he retired.

He was married to Mary Simon who predeceased him in 2007.

Charles is survived by his daughter Patricia Haggerty (Robert Harrington) of Dobbs Ferry and his brother William of Sleepy Hollow. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Joseph Simon as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary, he was predeceased by his sisters Margaret, Emma, Katherine, Ann and Mary and his brothers John, Daniel and James.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Church at 10:00 with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
