Catherine P. (Lambe) Kunz

Catherine P. Kunz, of Tarrytown and formerly of Woodhaven, Queens died November 11, 2015. She was born on March 11, 1933 in Dundalk, Ireland to Peter & Mary Lambe. She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and worked for a major photography company and as a bookkeeper for a crystal manufacturing company.

Cassie married Lawrence Kunz in 1962 at Good Shepherd Church in Manhattan.

She is survived by husband Lawrence, children: Michael, Therese, Paul and Martin and sisters Rose Conroy and Nora Collins and numerous nieces and nephews in Ireland, and four grandchildren, Timothy, Samantha, Erin and Brenna.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Cassie was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle church in Woodhaven, Queens for 30 years. After moving to Tarrytown, she was a member of Transfiguration Church, and served on the Women’s Club, “the Seniors”, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. An avid bowler, she collected a large number of trophies with her “Kelly Green” ball.

Wake will be Sunday November 15, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home, 91 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591. Her Funeral Mass will be at Transfiguration Church, Monday November 16, 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Old Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY 11377.
