Anna (Yarabek) Matthews

Anna Matthews of White Plains and formerly of North Tarrytown and Tarrytown died February 22, 2017 at the age of 82. Born on November 14, 1934 in Valhalla, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Kurina Yarabek. She was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School.

Anna had a long career as a secretary for the Town of Greenburgh. She was a member of the National Ladies Sokol and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Valhalla.

Anna was married to William Matthews who predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Mary Lester of Tarrytown and her brother John Yarabek of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister Rose Fahey and her brothers Joseph and Anthony Yarabek.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Monday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday at Transfiguration Church at 10:30 AM.
