Anna M. (Malnes) Biros

Anna Biros, a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow died on January 31, 2018. Born in Aviano, Italy on March 3, 1931, she was the daughter of Giacinto and Elisa Malnes. She graduated from St. Teresa’s School and North Tarrytown High School. She also attended Comptometer School in NYC.  She was employed by General Motors until she met and married John Biros on January 31, 1953. John predeceased her on July 7, 2009.

Anna was a help to many seniors in the area and volunteered at Rosary Hill Nursing Home for many years. She was an artist, a great portrait painter and singer along with being a wonderful baker. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Anna is survived by her sons Richard of San Francisco and John (Viera) Biros of Sleepy Hollow and her sister Eleanor Hunt of Tarrytown.

Anna will be sorely missed by family and friends. Though gone, she will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

Her Funeral Mass will be Friday February 2nd (today) at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY at 11:00 AM.
