Alessandra Carmela (Tomasso) D'Imperio

Alessandra Carmela D’Imperio, a longtime resident of Sleepy Hollow died November 3, 2016 at the age of 84. Born in Campobasso, Italy on July 10, 1932, she was one of nine children born to Antonio and Antonietta Ianetto Tomasso. On January 8, 1955, she married Pasquale D’Imperio in Campobasso, Italy. The couple later came to America and settled in North Tarrytown.

In addition to being a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook and care for her family, Carmela also worked as a seamstress at the Tarrytown Garment Company.

Carmela was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and helped with the cooking at their annual bazaar. She was also a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors. She will always be remembered as a wonderful and devoted wife and mother who was always happy and had a kind word for all.

Carmela was predeceased by her beloved husband Pasquale on November 27, 2013. She is survived by her loving children Maria D’Imperio-Pontbriand (Robert), Alessandra (Rich Lepowsky) D’Imperio and Pasqualino (Joyce) D’Imperio as well as her 4 loving grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:30 with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
